The Columbia "In the Light" jacket is an apt description. It is packed with technical features:

1)Omni-heat reflective inner lining - I have not been cold in this jacket yet and I've been out in 0 degree F, (-18 C) temps. (When worn over a light wool base layer and shirt)

2)Synthetic Insulation - For activities with a high level of exertion, synthetics outperform down when it comes to airflow. Also dries faster and retains insulating properties when wet.

3)Pockets galore - Zippered inner chest pocket, two large inner mesh and two outer zipped pockets.

4)Hood - Nice to have when extra protection from cold or rain is needed.

5)Omni Dry - I have seen complaints that the material is crinkly and noisy. It does make a definite crinkly sound so this is not a good hunting jacket. But what it does well is shed rain like a duck, while letting perspiration out. It is definitely a hard shell.

6)Pit zips - useful in certain situations, like extreme cold-weather heavy exertion. Staying dry is critical in extreme conditions.

This is a very versatile jacket that can be worn daily, as well as when a technical, lightly insulated, high performance, waterproof shell is called for. I was looking to buy a second pair of my Smith Blue Savanna sunglasses and I saw the only review gave them two stars so I had to write a review. I have had these for about a year now and they work great, I had not had polarized lenses before these so I was surprised at how well they work. They really reduce glare, the only weird thing is if I turn my cell phone 90 degrees with these glasses on the screen looks black, that was weird the first time that happened, I thought my phone was broken.
The other reviewer said these were small but I totally have to disagree, I think I have a slightly large head (I have to buy large hats) and these still fit nicely.
The colors on the pair I have don't look as bright as the colors shown unless you hold them up to the light.

I love AG denim, because of the soft material they are consistently using. I usually buy the Stilt model, but I thought I would give the Legging a try. I ordered one size up from my Stilt size 25, because I was afraid the leg would be too tight. To my surprise, the jeans fit biggish all over the leg and the thigh, however the waist was tight. I would need to order one size down, but then I am not sure how comfortable the waist would be. This was surprising to me, because usually I have the problem of the waist being big. I have a small waist compared to my hips and thighs. Unfortunately, I had to send these back, but if the Legging is a good fit for you, I recommend these jeans, because the quality is really nice and they are offered at a very good price here on Amazon.
