Osprey Packs Momentum 22 Daypack, Carbide Grey Review

I bought this pack after trying the Talon 22 by Osprey. There was seemingly a completely even trade off. The Talon 22 was amazing comfortable and distributed the load amazingly, but sadly had nothing for additional storage besides the big compartment.

The features were well thought out; rain flap, pockets, laptop, etc. So, from the outside it looks like an attractive setup for a bike commuter like myself. However, the usable cargo room is deceiving. I carry a few things with me all the time like a thin rain coat and warm under shirt and tools. It's really not that much but I can barely grab anything else such as some groceries.

Also, the weight distribution flat out sucks. Most packs when loaded will start bulging out away from your back. Not this one. The pack creates really bothersome pressure points towards your back and doesn't conform at all.

The 'main' compartment is also difficult to add things to. The bottom tapers so it's easy to get things right at the top, but you have to push things to the bottom quite deliberately.

I'm going to be trying a Metron pack next to see if they got it right for cyclists.

Saddlemen BR1800 Back Seat or Sissy Bar Bag 3515-0113 Review

This is a good bag in all senses, it has everything you expect from it and more.
The material looks durable, the finishing is impeccable and all the storage areas are large and useful.

The size is just perfect for small motorcycles, I have an old Yamaha Virago 250 and it fits great.

It comes with 3 different mounting systems but I'm just using it on the sissy bar.
It also comes with a backpack feature, don't expect to carry it around all the time though, it's just too heavy and clumsy (but doable).

I'm giving four stars for two reasons:
- Some of the storage areas are just too difficult to access (like the top area, shown on the picture full of tools)
- The mounting straps are NOT practical at all to use, but they fixed very well (maybe the problem is my bike, not the straps).

I'm also in doubt about the weather resistance of the item, the sewing is quite large, but had no opportunity to test it over rain yet. It comes with a raincoat, but it seams just silly to have to stop your bike to put it on the bag every time it seam it'll rain or let it over the whole day when parking in the office.

The rain cover is really needed if you are expecting to get bad weather during the day.

Great dress, it's almost exactly as pictured. It is a little bit darker than the picture. It is also extremely long! So plan on either wearing very high heels (this is my plan!) or have it hemmed. I'm pretty tall and it drags on the floor when I am barefoot. This is great for me, gives me room to work with it. Just be prepared :) Overall I love the dress!
