I originally purchased this jacket for my wife for winter travel, but it's found additional uses. For example, it makes a darn nice shell for cool weather sailing, and I'm told its wind protection is perfect.

In general, it has a soft, luxurious feel, and having walked next to this jacket quite a bit, I can say it is not noisy. It's been washed a few times, but its water repellency is still like new. I do believe at some point we may need to

Other things I can comment based on my wife's input:

The snow skirt is very functional and does not ride up.
Well thought out hood that doesn't look silly without a helmet (when properly adjusted) but it is helmet compatible.
Plenty of storage (five pockets, good size)
Laminated, waterproof zippers that don't snag.
Padded front collar so it won't rub the face when fully zipped up.
Not baggy, it accentuates female curves (so careful with the sizing)
No insulation. I think the Scorpion may be similar to this jacket but with some extra insulation, if that's what you're looking for.

Oh, and since it's the pollen color (a very pleasant warm yellow/orange), I can pick my wife out of a group very easily!
